User software, drivers & documentation
Media Packs include one to several Utility DVDs/CDs. Depending on the controller, User Software CDs/DVDs typically include Command Workstation for PC/MAC, Virtual Drum Scanner, Colorwise Pro, FIERY Hot Folders, FIERY ICM/ICC Profiles, FIERY Font Utilities, Print Port Setup Utilities, FIERY Calibrator, FIERY Downloader, FIERY Spooler and PC/MAC Drivers, including the latest Windows & macOS drivers available for the specific controller.
There are commonly several manuals of 100+ pages each concerning complete FIERY setup and maintenance: Color Printing, Configuration, Customer Release Notes, FIERY Graphic Arts Package Premium Edition, Legal Notices, Printing, Quick Setup, Utilities, FIERY System Software Installation, FIERY Diagnostic Tool for servers, Installation & Service Guide, Parts Catalog and FIERY Command Workstation v7.x.
Often these kits come with user and service materials for the Digital Printer/Copier Model series itself, but this does not apply to every media kit. Some Media Packs include these manuals in PDF format only on CD/DVD versus hardcopy. Black and White FIERY models sometimes include less printed material and software because color-related documentation is not necessary for controller operation. This kit is imperative to own in order to successfully operate your FIERY controller.

These CDs/DVDs allow you to reinstall the FIERY operating system software on the server/controller if the unit becomes corrupt or bugged. They also allow you to install a new hard drive if the current one fails, or when upgrading to a supported faster or larger hard drive or SSD.
If the FIERY is failing, erasing the system and reinstalling its system software can resolve software-related faults. Back up the system and follow the model-specific service procedure before reinstalling.
WARNING: With FIERY system faults or failure, always check and clean the system’s internal and exhaust fans. Replace fans immediately when they make abnormal sounds or stop altogether.
NOTE: Recovery CDs/DVDs are separate from the client-side or “User Software” CDs/DVDs containing Command Workstation, drivers and utilities for your connected PC/MAC peers. Recovery media is commonly missing from FIERY purchases. These important “lifeboat” materials ALWAYS ship with every FIERY Server unit LANgrafix sells.
